About Jimmy Finch

Jimmy Finch, known for his wide range and powerful voice, is a sought after baritone originally from Lansing, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Spring Arbor University and a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from The University of New Mexico, where he studied under the esteemed Marilyn Tyler.

Jimmy made his professional operatic debut in Carmen with Opera Southwest in Albuquerque and later took the stage in New York City as the tenor soloist in Mozart’s Requiem. His performances have been praised for their emotional depth and technical precision, establishing him as a sought-after performer in both operatic and concert settings.

Beyond the stage, Jimmy is dedicated to vocal education. He teaches private voice lessons at The MacPhail Center for Music. Additionally, he leads the choir at Grace-Trinity Community Church in Minneapolis, where he brings his passion for choral music to the community.

Most recently, Jimmy joined renowned pianist Lorie Line on her 2023 and 2024 Christmas tours, sharing the stage over 90 times across 14 states. His collaboration with Line showcased his ability to captivate audiences nationwide, further solidifying his reputation as an exceptional performer.

Whether on stage, in the classroom, or directing a choir, Jimmy brings his artistry and dedication to every performance, inspiring audiences and students alike.
